A Legacy of Learning,
A Vision for Tomorrow

Since 1905, the Walla Walla Public Library has been more than just a building; it has been a source of inspiration for our community—a place where generations have discovered, connected, and grown. From its beginnings in the historic Carnegie Building to the establishment of our current library in 1970 and through the 2006 children’s addition, it has evolved with Walla Walla’s needs. Now, 55 years after its original construction, it’s time for a transformation that matches the vibrancy and aspirations of our city.

The Campaign to Revitalize the Walla Walla Public Library is an exciting renovation project that will transform the library into a vibrant, modern and inclusive space for all. We will reimagine and redesign the library’s interior to bring our building into the 21st century, with new programming space, modern technology, and functionality that accommodates the many ways that the library serves as a gathering place.
